New Sweet Science series starts

Knowledge to get you ahead: Pfeifer & Langen offers specialist information for professionals in health and nutrition fields

With their new Sweet Science series, Pfeifer & Langen is offering in-depth specialist knowledge for anyone who works in the fields of nutrition, health and politics – from nutrition specialists and scientists to communicators and advocates. The goal is to help shape current debates, provide fact-based information, and open up new perspectives on beet sugar as a raw material.

What makes Sweet Science so innovative is that it distils scientific knowledge and makes it available for download in an accessible, compact format, at no cost – until now, an unparalleled resource in this form.

“Nutrition is a topic very much in vogue right now,” explains Meike Veit from the Consumer Protection – Nutrition Policy – Sustainability department at Pfeifer & Langen. “But on social media in particular, myths are often shouted louder than facts. As a food company, we have a responsibility: With Sweet Science, we are making a contribution to fact-based information, aiming to offer real added value to professionals.”

Topics range from the function of sugar in food to the scientific classification of health issues and the applicable regulatory framework.

The series starts with four issues, available for download here:
