Low in protein and rich in pectins and hemicelluloses, our sugar beet pulp is an ideal basic feed for cattle and other ruminants. Its gradual, even breakdown in the rumen ensures a constant supply of energy and has a correspondingly positive outcome on milk quantity and milk protein content.

Tasty and powerful: BETApur pressed beet pulp is a feed favourite of cattle, sheep, and goats. In combination with other feed types, the pressed pulp increases the intake of total dry matter and delivers valuable energy – for the highest possible milk yields and protein build-up.

But that’s not all: Compared to grains and dairy concentrate, our sugar beet pulp offers a higher structure value and consistent nutrient composition – independent of season or weather.

Loose or compacted in bags – just as you need it

BETApur pressed beet pulp can be fed to livestock directly or simply stored as silage. With bag silaging, we offer manufacturers, on request, a safe and uncomplicated solution.

Pressed pulp can be ensiled easily in bunker silos. Importantly, the silo pile should not exceed 1.5 metres in height. The sugar beet pulp should be compacted and rolled from the sides to eliminate any residual air, then made airtight and sealed with UV-resistant film.

Cows and fattening bulls	Up to 50 % of the basic ration (calculated on dry matter basis)
Horses	1 kg per 100 kg of body weight
Sheep and goats	Up to 3 kg per animal per day
Certified quality	The agricultural products from Pfeifer & Langen are subject to strict quality requirements. These are monitored through production-accompanying analyses in the company’s own laboratory and by LUFA. In addition, regular external inspections ensure that the production and quality of the agricultural products comply with QS certification guidelines.
