Our sites in Germany

Keeping our customers supplied with liquid sugar and sugar specialities means being here for them around the clock, all year, in four and five shift operation. Our production aim is to be as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible. To avoid disturbing our neighbours in Euskirchen, our beets follow set routes, with only a limited number of vehicles on the move at night. A clear road to follow – and that matters when it comes to energy, too. Moving away from coal as an energy source, we have now turned to wood sourced from sustainable plantations. Our sights are set on becoming fully CO₂ neutral. 

Around 185 employees live the team spirit at our Euskirchen site. Many have been with us for decades – a sure sign of an excellent working atmosphere. The annual transition from campaign to repair phase calls for diverse technical know-how – for that, we offer a wealth of opportunities for professional development. A climate of innovation, interesting tasks, and space to assume personal responsibility – these things set our working environment apart. The Euskirchen plant is far more than just a place to earn a living: It is a true community.

We carry Euskirchen in our hearts. For years, we have been among the chief exhibitors at the local “Knollenfest” – in honour of our local beets – and take part in training fairs and girls’ future days. We also work closely with the Emil-Fischer-Gymnasium and Euskirchen Gesamtschule, doing our part for the next generation at both schools. And as an active, reliable supporter of local institutions, we regularly donate to the food bank, emergency shelter, and volunteer fire service.
