Our capacity grows, our energy consumption falls. How is that possible? By continual modernisation that makes our Środa factory ever more efficient – allowing us to expand our range with a broad spectrum of innovative sugar products under the Diamant brand. And even though the Środa sugar factory is already one of the most modern in Europe, we are continuing to develop: We are currently building a gas-fired power plant that will enable us to put coal behind us forever.

The sugar factory in Środa is a local institution. We accept responsibility in this role – and are working with the local authorities and people of the area for a better future. Our sugar factory serves as a combined heat and power plant, covering 40 % of the energy needs of Środa’s inhabitants. We value transparency, too. At our annual Open Day, locals can see our sugar factory for themselves. We support social initiatives, including the local library, a family support organisation, and a sailing school, and have established our own sponsorship programme for this purpose.
